Two German & Jackson Township Park Levy Renewal measure were on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the townships of German and Jackson which are in Montgomery County.

The German township measure sought to renew the current parks levy which is set at a rate of $.05 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for recreational costs in the township.

The question on the ballot:

German Question: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of German Township (incorporated and unincorporated area) for the purpose of RECREATION at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.05 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.

Jackson Question: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the unincorporated area of Jackson Township and the Village of Farmersville for the purpose of PARKS AND RECREATIONAL PURPOSES at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
