Robinson spent much of her professional career as a grant writer and reviewer as well as working in health and human services as an executive director. She served on the UNC Board of Governors and was appointed by the governor to the North Carolina Minority Health Advisory Council. She also sits on the North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus Fdtn.
Robinson got her bachelor's degree from Bennett College for Women and earned her Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from North Carolina A&T University. She and her late husband, Ladison, have two daughters and four grandchildren.[1]
