Glenn Richardson is a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives. He serves in a leadership position as the Speaker of the House. Richardson has represented Georgia's 19th District since 1996.
Richardson is an attorney and an partner with the firm of Talley, Richardson Cable in Dallas, Georgia.
In 1989, he was appointed as Paulding County's county attorney, a position he held for sixteen years.
When Richardson was elected in 1996, he was the first Republican from Paulding County elected to the Georgia House of Representatives since Reconstruction.

Legislative priorities
- Richardson notes as a legislative accomplishment the 2005 passage of Georgia's Civil Justice Reform bill.
- He says that "the 'Woman’s Right to Know' bill was finally adopted after years of languishing in the General Assembly" as a result of his legislative leadership.
- Richardson also "champion[s] the requirement of photo identification to vote in Georgia to curb voter fraud."
Accomplishments
- The Republican Party of Georgia named Richardson as the 2003 Legislator of the Year.
- Richardson was the recipient of the 2003 American Cancer Society Capitol Dome Award.
- The March of Dimes honored Richardson “for providing extraordinary leadership in passing legislation to reduce the number of premature births in Georgia.”
- The Association of County Commissioners of Georgia awarded its 2005 Wayne Shackelford Award to Richardson.
- In 2006, Glenn became chairman of the Southern Legislative Conference (SLC) and the Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (RLCC).
- Richardson was named Legislator of the Year in 2009 by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
- He was named as One of the Most Influential Georgians of the Year for 2009 by James Magazine.

Richardson, who is divorced, has three children.[1]
