Grain Valley School District Bond Measure (February 2012)
Though this measure got a majority, it was still defeated because it needed a two-thirds majority (66.7%) to be approved.

This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $3 million in order to build additions to the middle school, the third phase of construction. If approved, the district property taxes would not be raised, the current repayment would just be extended. Additions included adding a second wing of classrooms as well as fine arts classes.[2]
