A Grand Haven Township Fire Levy Increase measure was on the August 2, 2011 ballot in the township of Grand Haven which is in Ottawa County.

This measure sought to renew and increase the current fire services levy to a rate of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of three years in order to help pay for fire and rescue protection services in the township.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Grand Haven Charter Township, of 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 1.4934 mills ($1.4934 per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at and increased up to the original voted 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) and levied for three years, 2011 through 2013 inclusive, for Fire/Rescue services, raising an estimated $882,960 in the first year the millage is levied.[3]
