This measure sought to renew the current district levy which is set at a rate of $.25 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further six years in order to continue to pay for emergency medical services offered in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall Grant County Fire Protection District #8 be authorized to levy a regular property tax in the sum of $.25 (maximum) per $1,000 assessed valuation each year for six consecutive years beginning in 2013 for the provision of Emergency Medical Services all as provided in Grant County Fire Protection District #8 Resolution No. 2012-02 and the Laws of the State of Washington RCW 84.52.069.[3]
