A City of Grass Valley Voter Pre-Approval of Land Use Changes, Measure Z ballot question was on the November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the City of Grass Valley in Nevada County, where it was defeated.
If Measure Z had been approved, it would have amended the City of Grass Valley General Plan by:
- Extending for thirty years the duration of the 2020 Land Use Element and related Land Use Map.
- Establishing a voter approval requirement for amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan (except in specified circumstances where changes by the City Council are authorized by the ordinance).
Measure Y was on the same ballot and it, too, was defeated. It would have imposed several new requirements on real estate development.
