A Gravenstein Union School District parcel tax, Measure D ballot question was on the March 8, 2005 ballot for voters in the Gravenstein Union School District in Sonoma County, California, where it was defeated.

If Measure D had been approved, it would have renewed and increased an existing $36/year parcel tax in the district to $52/year for eight more years.

A 2/3rds supermajority vote was required for approval.

Ten parcel tax proposals were on the March 8, 2005 ballot for voters in various public school districts in Sonoma County; only one of them was approved by voters.

Measure D: "To continue to provide our students with courses in music and art, technology, foreign language instruction, and library services, all essential for student growth and development, shall the Gravenstein Union School District be authorized to replace and extend its existing parcel tax of $36 per year with an annual parcel tax of $52 for eight years, beginning July 1, 2005, with annual audits and an exemption for parcels owned and occupied by persons 65 years of age or more?"[1]
