This measure sought to add to the current medical services levy by a rate of $.44 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of one year in order to pay for emergency medical care services provided in the district.[2]

Proposition 1 The question on the ballot:

Shall Grays Harbor County Fire District No. 14 Levy upon the regular taxable property within the District, in addition to the regular levy, the sum of $54,300.00 or approximately $0.44 per thousand of assessed valuation for the year of 2012 for the purpose of providing emergency medical care and ambulance services to its citizens?
