This measure sought to replace the current cemetery levy with one set at a rate of $.05 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for cemetery maintenance costs in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| A replacement of a tax for the benefit of Green Township for the purpose of MAINTENANCE OF CEMETERIES at a rate not exceeding one-half (0.5) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to five cents ($0.05) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013. |
