This measure sought to renew the current district levy which is set at a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a period of five years in order to further pay for fire protection in the district area.[2]

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Green Township Fire District #2 for purpose of providing and maintaining fire protection and equipment, buildings, water supply and establishing and maintaining lines of communication at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.
