Greene County Public Water Supply District Bond question was approved on the April 2, 2013 election ballot in Greene County, which is in Missouri.

This measure authorized the Greene County Public Water Supply District to increase its debt by $4 million through issuing special obligation bonds in that amount in order to fund the acquisition, construction, equipping and improvements to the waterworks system of the District. This measure would also authorizes fees sufficient to pay the principal and interest of the debt and all other costs of the bonds.[1]

Text of the question:

Shall the Public Water Supply District No. 1 of Greene County, Missouri, issue and sell special obligation bonds of the Public Water Supply District No. 1 of Greene County, Missouri, in an amount not to exceed Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000) for the purpose of paying all or part of the costs of acquiring, constructing and equipping improvements, replacements and extensions to the existing waterworks system of said District, including the acquisition of any necessary rights-of way, with the cost of operation and maintenance of the waterworks system and repayment of the principal of and the interest on the special obligation bonds to be payable solely from the revenue and receipts derived and to be derived from the operation of the waterworks system, and all future expansions and extensions thereof?

The authorization of such special obligation bonds will authorize the collection of net rates, fees and charges for the use of and services provided by the acquisition, construction and equipping improvements, replacements and extensions to the district’s existing waterworks system sufficient to pay the cost of operating and maintaining the waterworks system, to pay the principal of and interest on said special obligation bonds as they fall due, and to provide for and maintain all contractual obligations incurred during the issuance of said special obligation bonds.
