Harris is Chief of Staff to Alderman Mary Ann Smith. He has previously served as President of Open Hand Chicago from 1989-1991, Executive Vice President of the National Home Furnishings Association from 1988-1989, and Vice President of Industry Affairs for the National Home Furnishings Association from 1985-1988.
He is a member of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago Service Providers Council, President of AIDS Walk Chicago of the Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights Board, and the Non-Profit Financial Assistance Center Board.[1]
