Gregory Stumbo (b. August 14, 1951) is a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 95 and serving as Speaker of the House. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008. He served as Attorney General of Kentucky from 2004 to 2007 and in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1980 to 2004.

Stumbo's professional experience includes working as Martin City Attorney, Trial Commissioner for the Martin County District Court and Assistant Attorney for Floyd County.

Stumbo won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 95. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012 and was unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012. [1][2]

Stumbo's opponent in the November 2 general election was Republican candidate James Williams. According to official results, Stumbo defeated Williams by a margin of 7,275 to 3,140. [3]

On November 4, 2008, Stumbo was elected to the 95th District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives, defeating Larry D. Brown (R). [4] Stumbo raised $272,806 for his campaign, while Brown raised $200. [5]
