H. Paul Dennert (b. June 25, 1937) is a Democratic member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 2.
Dennert received his diploma from Columbia High School in 1955.
Dennert was a Director/Trustee at Cenex in 1990. He has also worked as a Farmer/Cattleman and Teacher/Superintendent of Sunday School.
Dennert served in the South Dakota State House of Representatives from 1993 to 1996. He then served in the South Dakota State Senate from 1996 to 2004. He rejoined the South Dakota House in 2005 and has served in that position since, representing the 2nd District. During his time in the House, Dennert has served as Assistant Minority Leader. He has also served as a Township Clerk and Assessor.
Dennert and his wife, Peggy, have two children.
