Of the 2,000 new voter registration forms submitted in the final week to the Lake County Elections board Director about 1,100 are no good. Elections board Director Sally Lasota stated that many of the forms submitted contained illegible handwriting and incomplete sections. This is nothing new this week as ACORN was submitted hundreds of other invalid registrations in the weeks leading up to the cut off date. [1]

Speaking for ACORN, Charles Jackson the communications director stated that ACORN had pre-filtered the questionable registration forms but left the decision as to what to do with them up to county officials. Jackson said "We consider it stealing from ACORN" in response to fraudulent registrations turned in by employees of ACORN. [1]
