A Hancock County Economic Board Levy Question will be on the April 5, 2011 ballot in Hancock County.
This measure will ask voters if they want to allow the county to levy up to .3 percent of county taxes to help fund the Economic Development board which would be created by the county. The board would be responsible for promoting economic development projects in the county and would consist of 15 members. Proponents of the board noted it would allow for more local control of development if approved.[1]
