Harold Melton is a 2014 Republican candidate for District 47 of the Michigan House of Representatives.


Melton is a commercial pilot, flight instructor, firearms instructor, and precinct delegate. For 38 years, he worked in road construction.[2]

Elections for the office of Michigan House of Representatives will consist of a primary election on August 5, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Jordan Genso is unopposed in the Democratic primary. Five challengers face off in the Republican primary.[3]

Melton ran in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 47. He was defeated by incumbent Cindy Denby in the Republican primary on August 7.[4]
