This measure sought to renew the current expenses levy which is set at a rate of $.48 per $100 of assessed property for a further four years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the village.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of Harpster for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 4.8 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to forty-eight cents ($0.48) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of four years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
