Two Harrison Township Fire Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the township of Harrison which is in Gallia County.

Both measures were approved

The first measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services in the township.

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

First Measure: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Harrison Township, Gallia County, Ohio, for the purpose of FIRE PROTECTION at a rate not exceeding one (1) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to ten cents ($0.10) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.

Second Measure: A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Harrison Township, Gallia County, Ohio, for the purpose of FIRE PROTECTION at a rate not exceeding one (1) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to ten cents ($0.10) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
