His answers to the Alaska State Legislative Election 2006 National Political Awareness Test are available. When asked his legislative priorities Crawford replied:
"My top priority for Alaska is to provide opportunities for Alaskans to work and earn a good, secure living and retirement. This requires access to a good education, health care and a growing economy. That means developing our resources and alternative energy to help make our future sustainable. Specifics would include building a gas pipeline, reducing class sizes and keeping Alaskans safe from repeat alcohol offenders."[2]
