Born August 2, 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska, Senator Mello is a graduate of Graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (B.A. in political science), 2002. Prior to his election to the Nebraska Legislature, Senator Mello worked as the senior aide to United States Senator Ben Nelson. [1]

Heath Mello earned his Bachelors degree in political science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
