In an exclusive interview published on November 14, 2012 Mizeur told the Morning Blade that she is considering a run for Governor of Maryland in 2014. Incumbent Martin O'Malley will be prevented by term-limits from seeking re-election.[1]

Mizeur successfully won re-election in the general election on November 2, 2010. She won the second of three seats in the district. No Republicans ran.[2]
