Nowiki is a way to format words or phrases while editing an article. The "nowiki" command allows you to show a reader how to type a format on the wiki, without the format occurring.
It is through the use of the "nowiki" command that you can show this to a reader:
- [[Category:Editing Help]]
If the words "Category:Editing Help" were not enclosed by the nowiki command, instead of showing the reader
how to type the category tag, the reader would be taken to the category.
How to insert the nowiki command on a page you're editing
- First, type: "<" followed by "nowiki" followed by ">".
- Then, type the words you wish to not be wikified.
- Then, type: "<" followed by "/nowiki" followed by ">".
