How to save your edits:

Example:

• Now that you have previewed your changes and added a comment about the nature of your changes, you are ready to save your revisions.

• Your revisions cannot be viewed by other readers until you save your work.

• You will not be able to save your work if you have not logged in.

• Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save Page.”

• A new revision of your article appears and the comment summarizing your changes appears on the page’s “history” tab.

How to make a minor edit:

Example:

When you make a small change on a page, such as correcting a spelling error or adding punctuation, you should check the box that says, “This is a minor edit” before you save the page.

• This is important for other readers and users of the wiki who may have this page on their watchlist.

• The wiki automatically sends an email to those users who have this page on their watchlist and checked the preference to have an email notification of any change. Marking when you have only made a minor edit, reduces the load of unnecessary emails.

In the page “history” tab, a small, bold “m” appears in the line marking.
