Herbert Dixon (b. July 29, 1949) is a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He has represented the 26th District since 2008. Dixon also serves on the Rapides Parish School Board.

Dixon worked as a field representative from 1980-2000, served in the United States Navy from 1972-1978, and has been a sales representative for National Motor Club Incorporated.

He is a member of the DA Anderson Scholarship Committee, Coyle's Best Incorporated, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Southern University Alumni, and serves as Vice Chair of the Rapides Democratic Central Committee.[1]

On October 22, 2011, Dixon won re-election to District 61 of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He ran unopposed in the October 22 primary election, assuring his re-election.
