Herman D. Farrell, Jr. (b. February 4, 1932) is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 71. He was first elected to the chamber in 1974.

Farrell has been the county leader for the New York County Democratic Committee since 1981 and the Democratic District Leader since 1973. His other political experience includes being an elector for the Electoral College, and a committeeman and a vice-chair of the New York State Democratic Party.

Biography

Farrell's professional experience includes being a confidential aide to a State Supreme Court Justice, an assistant office director for Mayor John Lindsay, and an instructor for New School for Social Research on Banking.[1]
