A Highline School District Levy Replacement measure was on the February 8, 2011 ballot in the Highline school district area which is in King County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 12,732 (62.12%) Approveda
  • NO 7,763 (37.88%)[1]

This measure sought to replace an expiring levy with one set at a rate of $3.44 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of four years in order to help pay for educational programs as well as operational and maintenance costs of the district.[2] School officials noted that if this measure did not get renewed services, staff and programs would have been cut. Also due to cut backs in state funding ensuring that this money is secured was important to the district.[3]
