Two Hillsborough County Charter Amendment measures were on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Hillsborough County.

Both measures were approved

The first amendment sought to amend the charter so that the county commission would have to hold an additional meeting, after the first, if they propose to significantly change the boundaries of the county districts.

  • NO 66,038 (23.18%)

The second amendment sought to rename the Internal Performance Auditor to be the County Internal Auditor instead, and also delete job duties and qualifications.[1] Though some would rather see the position eliminated all together, the clerk could do the job of independently auditing the county, it is seen as an improvement that the auditor would get directions.[2]
