This measure sought approval of a 4.9 mill continuation levy in the district. A previous levy of 5.9 had been attempted by the school district but due to its failure the school board decided to reduce the levy in the hopes that this one would have a better chance of getting approved. School officials also had planned to help educate voters to ensure they understand the issue and the needs of the school.[2]
