So far 103 absentee ballots in Palm Beach County have been discarded for lacking a required voter signature. Over two hundred more are facing rejection for the same problem. Absentee ballots have a signature requirement for the individual to "solemnly pledge or affirm that I am a qualified and registered voter." A further 28 ballots have been rejected due to mismatching signatures between the signature on the ballot and the signature the elections office has on file.[1]
A total of 134,437 absentee ballots have been requested in Palm Beach County, with 131,365 being sent out and over 66,000 being returned to date. The deadline for turning in absentee ballots is 5pm on Tuesday night.[1]
