Illinois Association of County Engineers is a government sector lobbying association in Illinois. The association is a collective forum of the 102 appointed county officials in direct charge of county highway transportation in Illinois.[1]Every one of the 102 Illinois counties has a county engineer.[2]

The Illinois Association of County Engineers has a registered lobbyist with Illinois, Illinois Strategies.[3] Local governments, like Brown County, Illinois, pay membership dues to the association.

Services

The organization provides information relating to transportation issues in the state. For example, the organization indicated a revenue shortfall of more than $470 million in Motor Fuel Tax allotment revenue to counties in 2006.[7]

Affiliates

The Illinois Association of County Engineers is affiliated with the National Association of Counties and with the National Association of County Engineers.[8] The organization is also a member of the Illinois Engineering Council.[9]
