Illinois Legislature cancels first full week of legislative activity due to weather

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois: A potential snow and ice storm has forced Illinois to cancel its first full week of the 2011 legislative session. [1]

The Illinois General Assembly canceled committee hearings and floor sessions due to the weather. [1] [2] Both chambers of the legislature are scheduled to return back in session on February 8, 2011 at 12:00 PM. [3] [1]
