Incarcerated felons voting in wisconsin
From Ballotpedia
Incarcerated felons voting in Wisconsin is the recognition of incarcerated residents of a state who are currently convicted of a felony and are currently on the states voting rolls. The following information is presented by data obtained by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and the governing body of elections in a particular state known as the Wisconsin Government Accountablity Board or the Wisconsin Secretary of State. Voting laws in Wisconsin make it illegal for an incarcerated felon to vote. In Wisconsin, felons are denied the right to vote if they are still seeing a probation or a parole officer or they are on extended supervision as Wisconsin is a state with Truth-In-Sentencing Laws that since 1999 eliminated parole for prisoners. Felons in Wisconsin are only re-granted civil rights including civil rights once a felon has completed all time served in incarceration, probation, and extended supervision by applying for application for civil rights restoral. The Governor does not make decisions on civil rights restoral.
NOTE:These are not complete lists and information as best as we can get from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. If you suspect of any felon that is illegally voting or know if someone you know may have their rights restored as a felon for voting, please contact your local elections offical, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, or the Wisconsin Government Accountablity Board.
