Incumbent state legislators drawn into different districts by 2010 redistricting
From Ballotpedia
Every 10 years the redistricting process alters state legislative districts in the 50 states. By nature, this can at times lead to an incumbent's home being drawn into a completely different district. If that incumbent is still running for re-election, then the incumbent is essentially faced with three choices:
- An incumbent is running for re-election in a district different from the one they currently represent
- An incumbent is running for re-election against another incumbent who was drawn into their district
- An incumbent moved in order to run in the same district.
The legislators listed on this page suffered this fate during the 2010 redistricting process.
