The question asked on the ballot was:

Shall the Constitution of the State of Indiana be amended to permit a person serving as auditor of state, secretary of state, or treasurer of state to reside anywhere in Indiana (not only at the seat of state government)? (This question concerns Article 6, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana.)
