Indianapolis, Indiana: The Indiana House of Representatives approved a measure on January 11, 2010 that would add to property tax caps to the Indiana Constitution. The measure passed the resolution with a vote of 75-23.[1]

This clears the way for the Indiana State Senate, which is controlled by a Republican majority of 33-17, to approve the measure. The proposed property tax amendment is expected to be passed in the senate, which will automatically place it on the November 2010 ballot in the state.
