A City of Indio Utility Users Tax, also known as Measure K, appeared on the November 4, 2008 ballot in Riverside County, California, for voters in the City of Indio.
Measure K passed with 65.11% of the vote.
Measure K does not change the tax that is assessed on utilities (which is 3%) but extends it to additional utilities, particularly communication technologies such as T-lines.
The question voters were asked to consider is, "Shall the city of Indio amend and modernize the city's utility users' tax ordinance?"
