From Ballotpedia
Jump to: navigation, search

The Iowa Constitutional Convention Question appeared on the November 7, 2000 ballot in Iowa, where it failed. Had it passed, it would have authorized a state constitutional convention.[1]

The Iowa Constitution requires that every ten years voters be asked if they wish to hold a constitutional convention to amend the constitution. The first such vote was held in 1970.
