The Iowa Same-Sex Marriage Ban Amendment may appear on the 2014 ballot in the state of Iowa as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. The measure would ban same-sex marriage in the state. According to reports, the measure was pushed by supporters during 2012 state legislative session.[1]

Path to the ballot

A majority vote is required, in two successive sessions, of the Iowa General Assembly.
