Irvine City Council Ethical Public Service Ordinance Measure H (June 2008)
From Ballotpedia
|
The Irvine City Council Ethical Public Service Ordinance Measure H appeared on the June 3, 2008 ballot in Orange County, California, where it was approved. The measure tightens the city's lobbying rules.[1] The cost to the city of holding the special election is $200,000.
The ballot statement written by Irvine Mayor Beth Krom for Measure H has been criticized by city council members Steven Choi and Christina Shea. They believe the ballot statement is an exercise in self-promotion on the part of Mayor Krom, noting the frequent use of "I" rather than "we" sprinkled throughout the ballot argument.[2]
