Jacalyn Cilley is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Strafford 4. She was first elected to the chamber in 2014.

She was a Democratic candidate for Governor of New Hampshire in the 2012 elections. Cilley was defeated by Margaret Hassan in the Democratic primary on September 11, 2012.[1]

She served in the New Hampshire State Senate, representing District 6 from 2006 to 2010. She also served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2004 to 2006.

Biography

Cilley earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire. She went on to receive her MBA from the University of New Hampshire. Cilley is a past Adjunct Faculty member at Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. She is also past owner of Cilley and Associates. She is currently partner for Horseshoes Plus, Incorporated.[2]

Elections for the office of New Hampshire House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Dennis Malloy and Jacalyn Cilley were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Len Turcotte and Jenny O. Wilson defeated Devon Claire Boyd and Seamus Casey in the Republican primary. Malloy, Cilley, Turcotte and Wilson faced off in the general election.[3] Cilley and Turcotte defeated incumbent Malloy and Wilson in the general election.[4]

Cilley unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination for Governor of New Hampshire in the 2012 elections.[5] The primary election was held on September 11, 2012. Cilley was defeated by Margaret Hassan in the primary.[6]
