Jackson City Charter Amendments, 2 (August 2010)
From Ballotpedia
Two Jackson City Charter Amendments were on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the city of Jackson which is in Jackson County.
Both measures were approved[1]
The first charter amendment sought to create a metropolitan department with neighboring communities in order to better provide services and reduce costs to residents, notably making a combined fire service department.
The second amendment sought to make it so that if the police or fire services departments were to be combines into a public safety department, there would have to be a vote of the people to approve it.[2]
