Bolda ran in the 2010 election for California State Assembly District 63. Bolda was challenged by Paul Chabot, Pat Gilbreath, Don Kurth, Mike Morrell, Henry William Nickel and Acquanetta Warren in the June 8th Republican primary. Mike Morrell (R) won the Republican primary. Mike Morrell (R) defeated Renea Wickman (D) in the November 2, 2010, general election.
