James Buckley was a Democratic candidate for Wisconsin State Senate District 29 in the recall election against incumbent Sen. Pam Galloway. While he ran as a Democrat, Buckley is actually a Republican and ran as a protest candidate in order to ensure a Democratic primary would be necessary.[1]

Buckley ran for Wisconsin State Senate District 29 in the recall election of former Sen. Pam Galloway. Although Galloway resigned her seat, the recall was ordered. Buckley lost to Seidel in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012.Seidel defeated James Buckley in the Democratic primary on May 8 and will face Petrowski in the recall on June 5.[2]
