James Hayes is a former Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 148 from 1999 to 2011. Hayes was also minority whip for the New York State Assembly. His other political experiences include being a member of the Amherst Town Board; deputy mayor and trustee for the Village of Williamsville. He resigned in 2011 to accept a private sector job.[1]

Biography

Hayes earned his B.A. in Political Science from Canisus College. His professional experience includes fundraising marketing consultant; director of development for Catholic Charities of Buffalo; campaign finance director and legislative assistant for former US Representative Bill Paxon; alumni relations director and admissions counselor for Canisius College.[2]
