Biography
Zehringer is the former owner and operator of Meiring Poultry and Fish Farm. He began his political career as a Mercer County Commissioner in 2002, staying in this position until he was appointed to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2007. In 2010, he was appointed Ohio Director of Agriculture and in 2011 he was appointed as the Ohio Director of Natural Resources.
Education
Zehringer earned his diploma from Fort Recovery High School.[2]

Zehringer previously served as Ohio Director of Agriculture from January 2011 to November 2011.
Ohio House of Representatives (2007-2010)
Zehringer was also a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing District 77 from 2007, when he was appointed, until 2010.[4] He was replaced by Jim Buchy (R).
Zehringer's political experience also included his time as Mercer County Commissioner from 2003-2007.
