Janéa Holmquist is a Washington state senator, currently serving the 13th district.^[1] She is serving her first term as a Senator after six years in the house and is a member of the Republican Party.

Education

Holmquist was a part of the Waterford-London Exchange Program. She earned her BA in Political Science/Sociology from Gonzaga University.

Professional experience

Holmquist was a Legislative Assistant for Representative Joyce Mulliken from 1998 to 2001. She has worked as State Coordinator for Christa McAuliffe Academy from 2002 to the present. She currently works as an independent insurance consultant.

Political experience

Holmquist served in the Washington State House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. She has represented the 13th district in the Washington State Senate since 2009.
