Joshi earned his MS in Business Administration and Health Care Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. He went on to receive his MD from Gujarat University in India.

Joshi won re-election in the 2012 election for Colorado House of Representatives District 16 due to redistricting. He ran unopposed in the June 26, 2012, Republican primary. He defeated David Rawe (C) and Michael Giallombardo (L) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
