Janis K. Lee was a Democratic member of the Kansas State Senate, representing District 36 from 1989 to her resignation in November 2010. Lee resigned due to her appointment to be the chief hearing officer for the Kansas Court of Tax Appeals. ^[1] She was the Assistant Minority Leader since 1997. She was previously the vice-president of the Unified School District 238 Board of Education.
